This is not the toe vehicle I started the trip with. I started out with an 88' blazer, rusted and noisy. Driving along I-80 just outside Omaha at 10:00 PM the truck started making a louder than normal wining sound, then BAM! I take inventory, I am alive and not injured but I no longer have a connection between my motor and the wheels. The truck continued moving along, it felt like an act of God, I keep moving down the freeway for a half mile. I blow two stop signs at the end of the ramp and wheel around in front of a small Motel. I coast onto the curb and that was it, the Blazer is done. There is a large dirt parking lot next to the Motel so I have my toe service toe me 50 yards to a good spot. I thank God and camp for the night.
I am bummed out for a bit thinking the Mexico ride is toast, then I decide to look for a truck in Omaha. Some guy from a dealership I called picks me up and drives me all over town looking at cheap trucks I can afford. Now I have a 95' Blazer, 140K miles but the nicest truck I have ever owned. Likin life.
