These guys are smart and they know motorcycles. He ‘gets it’ right away and pulls out a clutch lever bracket with a rearview mirror mounting hole attached and explains to me that he can cut away the clutch lever portion of the bracket leaving just the mirror mounting hole. With a big smile I say “!bien, si!” (Great! lets do it!) The mechanic pulls out a homemade hacksaw built from bent rebar and begins to hack away at the bracket. I lend a hand holding onto the bracket while he saws. In no time, the custom bracket is cut and the mechanic goes to work installing the mirrors.
