![I was scared shitless for what seemed like hours. Before I come here I read "this is one of the, if not the MOST intense", or I'm not sure what word they used, "roads in the word and that one should do it before something horrible happens to it, like pavement" .......Ya!...... I agree fully, if you’re into this kind of intensity and scenery, ya gota do Copper Canyon.
A grader was doing the lower part of the road that day. Bad scene, fist sized rocks in 4" to 6" deep piles spread across the road at times. No big deal except your going straight down hill or up and around hair pins, no big deal except your looking over the side 1000 plus feet down, always.
One should Do It. Especially if you live in the US where it's only 600 miles from El Paso.
